Beekse Bergen for three days the Special Olympics Village in 2024
Beekse Bergen will be renamed the Special Olympics Village for three days in 2024. During a presentation at the Safari Hotel, Dirk Lips, along with nine other partners of the sporting event and under the watchful eye of the G Ambassadors, signed the partner contract.
On June 14, 15 and 16, some 2,000 athletes and attendants from the Special Olympics National Games 2024 will all stay at the Lake Resort and Safari Resort accommodations.
The Special Olympics National Games is the largest multi-sport event for people with intellectual disabilities in the Netherlands. The event is organized on a rotating basis every two years throughout the Netherlands for people with intellectual disabilities.
More than 2,500 athletes
In 2024, this special event will take place in Breda and Tilburg. More than 2,500 athletes will participate, in 21 sports. The central themes of the event are: talent, sport and inclusion.
Special Olympics Netherlands is part of a global movement in more than 190 countries dedicated to improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through the organization of sporting events.
