Light Safari kicks off at Beekse Bergen: a world of light and magic
The second edition of Light Safari at Safaripark Beekse Bergen has begun. Visitors can immerse themselves in a completely new route of light sculptures until March 9, 2025. The event, which attracted over 185,000 visitors last year, returns with the theme "a magical journey around the world.
During the event, visitors are taken on a two-kilometer walk. The route is filled with sculptures of LED lights depicting animals and cultures from various parts of the world - from the savannahs of Africa to the vineyards of Italian Tuscany. This year the experience is even grander, with two thousand additional sculptures. Energy-efficient LED lighting has been chosen, and a number of light objects have been recycled.
Rens Willemsen, general manager of Safaripark Beekse Bergen, is looking forward to the event. "After months of preparation, we finally get to take our visitors on this magical journey around the world. Light Safari is even more spectacular and atmospheric than last year. The winter square provides extra fun with a roller skating rink, delicious winter snacks and other activities. In addition, there is an educational scavenger hunt, where children collect stamps in a Light Safari passport."
Practical information
Light Safari is open Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 9:30 p.m. During Christmas and spring break, visitors can visit the event daily. Tickets are available online through the website. There are also package tickets, combining a day visit to Safaripark with access to Light Safari.
