Safaripark Beekse Bergen surprises millionth visitor of the year
Hilvarenbeek, Aug. 13, 2024 - An unsuspecting family was put in the spotlight today at Safaripark Beekse Bergen. The Savakis family was festively welcomed today with a check and went on a special Gamedrive. Never before did Safaripark Beekse Bergen receive its millionth visitor as early as the summer vacations.
General manager Rens Willemsen is proud when he speaks about the park and the visitors he may welcome every year: "Every day the team works hard to give guests an unforgettable day. In recent years a lot has been invested in the Safaripark to further improve the experience for our guests and the welfare of the animals. The realization of the new Elephant Valley with the arrival of three young elephants is a great example of this. Also, this winter, many families discovered the magic of light during the first edition of Light Safari. It is therefore very nice to see that guests appreciate these innovations."
The Savakis family was welcomed by Willemsen with a check and gift package. Then they were taken on a private Gamedrive by a ranger and got to help give the elephants a cooling mud bath. A special moment for the family, Marja Savakis: "What started as a fun day out with our grandchildren, unexpectedly became a moment to remember. As the millionth visitor to this wonderful park, we are grateful for this beautiful memory. This is a day we will talk about for a long time and the children can't wait to tell about it at school."
