Accessibility during events
Starting with the 2024 festival season, local residents who are unable to reach their homes due to road closures will receive a general drive-through sticker. This sticker can be placed on the vehicle windshield and allows access to the closed street during all festival weekends. The sticker will be delivered by mail before the start of festival season. For questions about this, please send a message to: evenementen@beeksebergen.nl.
Nuisances during events
If something occurs during a festival weekend that you would like to report, you can always report it directly to the festival organizer. This is the quickest and easiest way and ensures that it can be addressed immediately. If the organizer is not searched directly, in many cases the information may not reach them until after the festival weekend. This is the time when, in many cases, nothing more can be done with it.
Herewith the phone numbers of the respective festivals (reachable only during the festival weekend):
Best Kept Secret: 085-2100120
Awakenings Festival: 085-2103705
Decibel outdoor: 088-9000370

Working together locally | Sustainable Initiatives for Social Value Added
Beekse Bergen is committed to creating social value in the region. Our goal is to strengthen the local community by supporting sustainable initiatives, sharing knowledge and connecting networks. With a focus on sustainability and social engagement, we contribute to a better future for the region. To this end, 2024 has partnered with Intermediate Hilvarenbeek. As of 2025, some initiatives are underway:
Scouting Hilvarenbeek was the first to be allowed to test Indoor Speelland, officially opening this new operation.
Beekse Bergen donates dinnerware to various associations in the area.
Festival organizers support local initiatives
Best Kept Secret, Awakenings Festival, Decibel outdoor and Beekse Bergen, together with the municipality of Hilvarenbeek, have signed the Covenant on Spatial Quality Contribution. This covenant is aimed at supporting local initiatives that contribute to an attractive, functional and social living environment. For example, interactive association evenings with workshops on applying for event permits, guest lessons at elementary school where children are introduced to the profession of artist management or refurbishing neighborhood spots with creative input from décor experts. This initiative aims to strengthen social cohesion and create added value for the community, supported by the joint efforts of Beekse Bergen and the festival organizers involved.
Would you like to submit an initiative for a contribution from the Covenant on Spatial Quality contribution? Fill in the form in.

Frequently asked questions
This may be true. On the Thursday before the festival, each organizer has a permit to conduct a sound check. This also applies to the few hours before the festival grounds open during the festival weekend itself.
The following opening hours apply to Best Kept Secret: Friday 2:00-04:00 p.m. (from 01:30 a.m. reduced sound volume), Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (from 01:30 a.m. reduced sound volume), Sunday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
For Awakenings Summer Festival, opening hours are: Friday 4pm-01am, Saturday 1pm-01pm, Sunday 1pm-23:30pm.
And for Decibel outdoor, the following opening hours apply: Friday 3pm-01am, Saturday 1pm-01pm, Sunday 1pm-23:30pm.
This is possible in the form of a guided tour which all festival organizers offer on our grounds on the Thursday evening before the festival weekend. Local residents will receive information about this before the registration procedure in the information letter.
An information letter will be sent no later than 3 weeks before each festival weekend. If you have not received a letter after this period, please contact us at evenementen@beeksebergen.nl. They can possibly send you the letter (it is also always available for download on this page) or, if you are not yet on the mailing list, add you to the address list.
As a zoo, we are constantly monitoring the well-being of our animals. As such, we monitor how they are doing 24/7. There is always someone present during festival weekends to watch this live. In addition, it is good to know that animals can stand monotone tones very well, which is what it is a lot during a festival. So you don't have to worry about the animals in our zoo.
During festival weekends, noise measurements are taken by both the organizer and the Omgevingsdienst Midden- en West-Brabant (OMWB). In this way, the festival organizers ensure that they operate within the set frameworks of the municipality of Hilvarenbeek. Each organizer strives to limit the inconvenience to local residents as much as possible, but due to changing wind direction and weather conditions, it is impossible to determine in advance exactly where any noise pollution will occur. We hope for mutual understanding.
Of course. It is best to call the festival organizer itself using the phone number listed above on this page. They have specially hired a cleaning company for this weekend that can come by if it involves waste from festival visitors.
On the unique safari routes you will meet more than 100 different species, each with its own story and habits. While some animals stay outside all night, others may go to bed a little earlier. Some animals can also be admired inside their enclosures. See here just a small selection of our beautiful animals.
Safaripark will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29. A Brew@theZoo ticket allows access to the park from 5:30 to 10:30 pm.
A Brew@theZoo ticket provides access to Safaripark Beekse Bergen on Friday, June 28 or Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Visitors visiting the park during the day have access until 17:00. A day ticket therefore does not give access to Brew@theZoo. The same applies the other way around.

Upon entry you will receive 7 tokens; for special beers and food. It is not allowed to bring your own food and drinks.
