Beekse Bergen expands with tropical indoor play world: Speelland Indoor

Beekse Bergen is opening a new addition to its existing offerings this winter: Speelland Indoor. The indoor play paradise, which has a tropical theme, will open on December 21 exclusively for guests staying at the Safari Resort, Lake Resort and Safari Hotel. From January 6, other visitors will also be able to visit for indoor fun.

At Speelland Indoor, visitors step into an adventurous world with the atmosphere of a desert island, with plenty of opportunities to climb, clamber and play. Children ages 0 to 14 have fun with attractions in different age-specific zones. Parents can take a seat in the spacious catering facility overlooking the play area, where they can take advantage of an extensive catering assortment.

With Speelland Indoor, Beekse Bergen connects to the Safaripark experience through the theme. General manager Rens Willemsen explains, "After an adventurous safari, it is wonderful to end the day at the beach. We have translated that feeling into Speelland Indoor."

Indoor and outdoor

Speelland Indoor is on the grounds of outdoor facility Speelland Beekse Bergen, where young and old can go in spring and summer for day recreation in and around Lake Victoria. Speelland Indoor is located in a brand new hall of 8.5 meters height with large windows on the sides. The building covers some 2,000 square meters and can accommodate 600 visitors at a time. It meets strict sustainability standards and uses heat pumps and solar panels for power generation.

Willemsen: "With Safaripark and Speelland Beekse Bergen, we already offered ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. In addition, we want to meet the need of hotel and resort guests and day visitors to enjoy the world of Beekse Bergen all year round, regardless of the weather. It is therefore a great addition to our existing offerings."

Practical information

Guests of the Safari Resort, Lake Resort and Safari Hotel will be the first to use the indoor play facilities during their stay starting Dec. 21. From January 6, 2025, all other visitors are also welcome. Speelland Indoor will then be open every day between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm.

Access is included for resident guests. Single tickets are available. via the website and at the box office. From April through September it is also possible to purchase combined tickets for indoor and outdoor. In addition, there are various subscription forms and it is possible to organize children's parties.
