Turn in your old cell phone and help the gorillas

Gorillas unfortunately have less and less habitat in the African rainforests. This is because many coltan mines are being built here. Coltan is a raw material for cell phones. By recycling the coltan from your cell phone, you are helping the gorillas and supporting Stichting Wildlife.

You contribute in two ways:

When you hand in your old phone at the collection bin in Safaripark, you help animals in 2 ways. First, Stichting Wildlife receives an amount for each cell phone. with this, we support as many as 27 projects around the world.

In addition, every phone call can be recycled. This is good news for the gorilla, among others. Cell phones are made with raw materials such as gold and coltan. These raw materials are mined in the rain forests of Africa, where they are cut down to build roads and mines. Many animals lose part of their habitat because of this, and they are also more likely to fall victim to poaching.

Recycling cell phones is a great way to ensure that no new mines have to be built. So take a look in that drawer, under your bed, or maybe in the attic and turn in your old phones. Thanks in advance for your help!
