What is the purpose of the Wildlife Foundation?
The goal of Stichting Wildlife is to protect endangered animal and plant species at home and abroad. They do this for example by telling you all about the projects the foundation supports, why certain species are endangered and how you too can help protect these animals. The Wildlife Foundation also supports as many as 27 projects that ensure the protection of these species in the wild. In 2024, for example, the foundation helped protect as many as 39 endangered and vulnerable species! Rangers Stijn and Rick tell you more.

How did the foundation come into being?
the Stichting Vrienden Safaripark Beekse Bergen was founded in 1985 to prevent the imminent closure of the park. The park was soon taken over by Libéma. Since then, the foundation has been committed to education and nature conservation. In 2004, Libéma opened Eindhoven Zoo and in 2015 ZooParc and Aquazoo were added. The foundation also dedicates itself to this area so the name was changed to Wildlife Foundation.
